Insightful Parenting
ADHD Group
Run by Lana Sommers
60 MINUTES
WEEKLY FOR 10 WEEKS
FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN OF ALL AGES
Parenting a child with ADHD is a joyful and challenging process. It can be exhausting without the support of, and connection to, other parents who “get it”.
Parents who have a child diagnosed, a child in the process of getting diagnosed or a diagnosis themselves are welcome. This group will include parents of children of all ages. The combined groups provide insights into development at various stages.
IN THIS THERAPY GROUP, WE WILL:
-
Learn about emotional regulation, diagnosis process, transitions, routines for ADHDers, dealing with change, advocating for your child and teaching self advocacy
-
Check in and gain support from each other
-
Hear from each other about the challenges and joys that come with raising an ADHD child
-
Provide an affirming space for parents who also have ADHD themselves

Once a group fills, you will be contacted and it will begin. The therapist will be in touch with the group beforehand to schedule a weekly time once the group is full.
